TTT 23/5

I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus lately but I’m determined to get back into blogging more often. In truth, I’ve been a bit overwhelmed with so many things going on. I’ve been working on characters for a new project while also working through my November project. There’s also a couple of NetGalley books that I’ve still to review so look out for those coming soon. This weeks prompt (courtesy of That artsy reader girl) is all about things that make me want to instantly read a book.

If an author I really like releases a new book, I’m likely to instantly buy it. Some of these authors include; Kelley Armstrong, Raven Kennedy, Susan Dennard, Geneva Lee, Stephanie Garber and quite a few others.

A strong female lead.

A colourful book cover – its already in my basket if it has sprayed edges.

Romances with an enemies to lovers trope.

Seasonal books that feature Winter or Autumn.

Anti-heroes or morally grey protagonists.

Retellings. I’ve read some pretty spectacular retellings lately.

Interesting magic systems.

Urban fantasy.

Greek mythology.

I’m a week late with this post, I didn’t get it finished in time to post but I wanted to post it anyway as the next two prompts tie in.
